How 7-OH Vape Products Differ From Other Alkaloid Formats

7-OH vape products represent a relatively new format within the broader market of kratom-derived and alkaloid products. They differ from traditional powders, capsules, tablets, extracts, and other formulations primarily because they combine concentrated 7-hydroxymitragynine (7-OH) with an inhaled delivery system.

7-OH Compared With Traditional Kratom

These formats should not automatically be treated as interchangeable because their chemical composition and delivery routes can differ substantially.

For researchers evaluating 7-OH products, laboratory analysis is particularly important. Testing can help establish the actual alkaloid profile, identify unexpected compounds, and determine whether the product composition matches its labeling. Recent research has documented inconsistent labeling and additional unreported compounds in some commercial kratom-derived products.
